Dubai Golden Shaheen Sponsored by Gulf News (Gr 1) 2016 runner up X Y Jet (Kantharos – Soldiersingblues, by Lost Soldier) continues with its preparation to return to racing during the winter. After nearly a year of its last performance, the 5-year-old gelding owned by Rockingham Ranch and Gelfenstein Farm, has been training at Monmouth Park recording four workouts since September 11th. “We are doing the work, it is a high-quality horse that has suffered its injuries. Our intention is to let him himself dictate when is ready to run.”
X Y Jet made its debut under Jorge Navarro training on January 24, 2015 finishing second in the $100,000 Pasco Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs, then in great race crossed the wire in behind Barbados only half of length in the Hutcheson Stakes G3 at Gulfstream Park. After a well-deserved break, X Y Jet started a five-win streak including the G3 Mr. Prospector Stakes, G3 Gulfstream Park Sprint Stakes and the Sunshine Millions Sprint Stakes. All this before his tough beat in the mentioned Dubai Golden Shaheen (Gr 1) in Meydan.
Fifth in the G1 Vosburgh and third in the G3 Frank J.
